Héctor Gaitán

Technical CAD Designer

Héctor is a highly skilled Technical CAD Designer with a background in architecture and over 15 years’ experience delivering large-scale live events across the globe. He first trained as an architect at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, drawn to the field through his love of drawing and design. But it was a drafting role on Mexico’s bicentennial independence celebrations that sparked his transition into live entertainment, and he hasn’t looked back since.

Driven by precision, collaboration, and the thrill of bringing complex shows to life, Héctor brings deep expertise in 2D and 3D CAD, scenic and staging design, and technical coordination. He’s known for producing highly detailed drawing packages at pace, and for his ability to communicate complex ideas clearly through his work. With a technical eye and creative mindset, he supports both concept development and on-the-ground delivery.

He’s worked closely with Wonder Works for over a decade, starting with the Central American & Caribbean Games in Veracruz (2014), followed by the Islamic Solidarity Games (2017) and more recently UAE’s 48th and 53rd National Days. Based in Mexico and now a full time member of the team, Héctor works remotely to develop and deliver robust, presentation-ready CAD packages across international productions.

Alongside his design work, Héctor is a skilled DJ and music lover, with over 20 years behind the decks. He’s played everything from private events to stadium ceremonies and is currently studying to improve his guitar skills. A keen outdoor enthusiast, he loves hiking with his dog and is a certified open water diver and trained in both pyrotechnics and scenic production.
