Before joining Wonder Works, Andy primarily worked as a production audio and communications engineer, programmer & system designer, working on large-scale musical theatre productions and live events across the world.
Andy graduated from LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) in 2008 with a degree in Sound Technology and the Sennheiser Outstanding Student Achievement Award in live sound. Alongside other projects, he then spent several years touring as a sound operator on musical theatre shows. He stopped touring in 2013 and moved into planning, establishing and overseeing shows as a production sound engineer. Alongside his work in musical theatre, Andy has worked in audio and communications on large-scale projects such as London 2012 and Glasgow 2014 Ceremonies, Secret Cinema (Empire Strikes Back) and The Championships, Wimbledon; he’s even found himself working as a comms engineer in nuclear power stations.
In his spare time, as well as enjoying time with his family and exercising his practical skills in DIY, Andy likes to play around with microprocessors and coding in Python, along with the odd round of golf from time to time. Andy is delighted to be joining the team at Wonder Works and is looking forward to collaborating with them on some exciting new projects.
